You Can Still Get Bitcoin for $50K??? 10 – Bonus

My rigs have been mining for a few weeks now, and I can see my contribution and how much BTC I’m earning in the pool daily — small but real 😂

But that’s not the main point. The main point is — I hit the “lottery”! And then lost it 🤦🏻‍♀️ Here’s what happened:

Remember I said everyone mines in a pool because solo miners almost never find a block? Each block before the next halving is worth about 3+ BTC. Theoretically, a solo miner would need 18+ years to find a block, but no rig lasts that long and electricity bills will probably be more than your gains. So if your rig count is small and you mine solo, you’re basically guaranteed to lose money. That’s why most people join pools — so even if you personally never find a block, whenever someone in the pool does, you get a steady share of the rewards. This makes your income continuous and stable. The tradeoff is that if you do find a block, you have to share its reward with everyone in the pool — it’s like everyone buys lottery tickets together.

About a week after my rigs started mining, I got a very excited email from the operations team: “You hit the lottery!” One of my rigs found a block on its 6th day online! The whole team congratulated me and even made a sticker to put on that rig showing the block it mined on the Bitcoin network. Why were they so hyped? Because in their mining careers, they’d never seen luck like this — 6 days to find a block instead of 18+ years. This rig set a record for the fastest “jackpot” hit 😂

So, if I were a solo miner, I’d have earned 3+ BTC in just 6 days! But — I mine in a pool 🤦🏻‍♀️ Meaning, I get none of those BTC directly — they’re all split among the pool members 😂 It’s like buying a lottery ticket, finding out you won, then losing the ticket. The operations team kept cheering that I’d contributed to thousands of miners (including themselves) and that it was an honor to the community and Bitcoin network. I just had to silently cry inside😂

So,I decided to buy some more rigs and have them set up for solo mining — no pools 😂 They said: “Wow, now you are turning into a real contributor to the bitcoin network! You might spend years mining and never find a block, just wasting electricity. Are you sure?”

I said: “Sure! Let’s just treat it like buying a lottery ticket. Maybe I’ll hit the jackpot again!”

That’s the latest update on my mining journey. I’ll keep sharing progress in my weekly passive income newsletters — feel free to follow along.
