Continuing from last post, how do you exit songs?
Tim said, “If you own a part of the Mona Lisa, your rights can provide dividends for you and your descendants indefinitely. Would you want to sell and exit?”
Upon hearing this, I understood. They don’t have an exit mechanism, or rather, they don’t intend to exit.
“Mona Lisa?” I thought to myself, “Forget it. It’s completely incomparable. These are just the phrases used by the sell-side .”
Then, I asked: “If that’s the case, then I want to know, how much are your dividends now?”
He replied, “We distribute dividends to shareholders every month, and currently, it’s approximately at a 7% annualized rate. Of course, it’s mostly on an upward trend, and there may be adjustments every quarter or year if possible.”
I asked, “How much have you distributed in dividends so far?”

He answered somewhat boastfully, “Since 2019, we’ve distributed $7 million in dividends to shareholders. Early shareholders have already received 67% of their principal back.”
“Oh, that’s better than I imagined,” I said.
“I’m getting returns in at least double digits elsewhere,” I continued. “If I understand correctly, if it’s 7%, and you don’t sell copyrights, then I’ll have to wait a long time to recover my costs. The remaining will be long-tail cash flow, right?” Till next time.
